Ernie Els Big Easy Chenin Blanc 2022 The Big Easy Chenin Blanc 2022 displays the scents of the tropics… pineapple chunks, salted mango, papaya and a squeezes of lime drift on the breeze of orange blossom, honeysuckle and the faintest whiff of summer fynbos. This transporting bouquet follows on to the palate evolving into stone fruits; fresh cut peaches, bites of nectarine freshness and zesty apple skin. The fruit is mouth coating and rich lifted by an inherent vibrancy that crests long into the lime-tinged, chalky finish.

Generous and scented Chardonnay with bright lemon-citrus, white-peach and soft pear aromas, layered over leesy wax and a touch of orange zest. Medium-bodied, smooth texture, subtle acidity and a rich, lingering finish. Food-pairing Works beautifully with chicken Caesar salad, ham-and-cheese tart, creamy pasta dishes, or lightly spiced seafood — the wine’s pear-and-peach fruit, soft texture and subtle acidity complement richer, savoury flavours.

Cape Chamonix Unoaked Chardonnay 2021, on release it has a pale lemon-green colour and intense aroma that recalls fresh citrus and tropical fruit. Bright and steely dry in flavour, but with a light to medium bodied mouth feel and lingering acidity all in perfect balance.

This elegant wine is complex with citrus and pear notes that are complemented by an intriguing nuttiness and a crisp finish. The Chamonix Chardonnay can mature in the bottle for many years.
