Crystallum Ferrum Chardonnay 2023
Crystallum Ferrum Chardonnay 2023
A tense and energetic showing of a wine coming into its own. Lime leaf, nori and lemongrass on the nose as well as an appealing hint of peat-like reduction. The palate is bright and citric, with a complementary richness and texture from light honey making for a mouth-coating and sumptuous finish. Length, layers and longevity.
Paul Cluver Chardonnay 2022
On the nose, this wine shows great citrus character with ripe orange and winter melon notes, against lightly toasted brioche. Tangerine fruit and citrus blossom fragrances are apparent, with hints of vanilla pod and a slight salinity. These characteristics follow through onto the palate. The fine, fresh acidity is natural, and adds poise and focus to the wine.

Cape Point Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2023
A refreshing coastal style, with aromas of white grapefruit and floral fynbos, through to a palate dancing with elegant layers of fruit, steely minerality and a long, vibrant finish
The grapes were fermented with selected yeasts, 97% in stainless steel tanks, while 3% was barrel-fermented imparting delicate complexity. The wine spent eight months on its fine lees in tank, prior to release.
2023 Sauvignon Blanc Noordhoek comes from estate fruit matured in stainless steel, aged on the lees for ten months. There’s green apples, citrus peel and kiwi fruit on the nose, and just a little pyrazines here. The palate certainly has more vigor and tension than the regular Sauvignon Blanc. It’s taut and crisp, very malic, with quite a penetrating finish that cries out for some oysters. Very fine. Neal Martin, Vinous

Harry Hartman Summer Wild Ferment Sauvignon Blanc 2020
Harry Hartman Summer Wild Ferment Sauvignon Blanc 2020 upon tasting the wine, that almond skin character persists with a briny texture and taut acidity leaping over your palate. Reminiscent of the label that served as the wine's first introduction, it's also got the lightness of morning mist precipitating on wet soil. Don't expect pronounced tropical fruit, but revel in its salt-specked character that would make a perfect pairing with white chocolate, ushering the shy fruit to the fore. A wild ferment often invites unusual aromas, toning the pungent lemongrass aromas with hints of spice and a creamy note of old-fashioned lemon candy. Less intervention elevated this wine, and it exudes the same energy of the bird on its label, inviting you to languish in its uninhibited nature.

Old Road Wine Co. GRAND-MÈRE Semillon 2017
The wine is elegant and refined, with opulent pear, kumquat and citrus peel flavours, sweet exotic spice and a texured mouth-feel. The flavours evolve and persist from the entry onto the palate, with layers of succulent tropical fruit and candied citrus flavours unfolding. The well-defined fruit is balanced by mouth watering acidity and a lingering minerality on the finish.
DeMorgenzon Reserve Chenin Blanc 2023
DeMorgenzon Chenin Blanc 2023
On the nose, the wine opens with aromas of ripe peach and apricot with a fragrant floral undertone. This is layered with subtle notes of toasted almond and a hint of vanilla. The palate is generous with the creamy texture working beautifully with the vibrant acidity. Layers of pear, honeyed citrus, and Golden Delicious apple. The oak influence is evident but impeccably integrated, offering nuances of nutmeg and a hint of flint and smokiness that adds depth and dimension to the wine. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a lasting impression of well-balanced richness and finesse.
