Deep ruby-purple. Generous nose of blackberry, dark plum, sweet spice and Mediterranean herbs over a savoury graphite-and-tobacco backbone. Full-bodied with polished tannins, a juicy dark-fruit core and a long, structured finish lifted by Bolgheri’s coastal freshness. A Cabernet-led Bolgheri Rosso designed for early drinking but with good cellaring potential — excellent with grilled red meats, wild boar ragù or aged Pecorino.

Il Bruciato is the second wine of Antinori’s Tenuta Guado al Tasso — the family’s Bolgheri estate, a thousand hectares between the Tyrrhenian coast and the Maremma hills. The estate’s flagship Guado al Tasso DOC Superiore is one of Bolgheri’s grand wines; Il Bruciato is its more accessible, earlier-drinking sibling, made for restaurant tables and weekday cellars rather than auction houses.
A Cabernet Sauvignon–led blend (typically with Merlot and Syrah) from younger Tenuta Guado al Tasso parcels, fermented in stainless steel and matured for around 10 months in French oak barriques (a portion new). The 2023 vintage saw a wetter spring followed by a warm but balanced summer in coastal Tuscany, producing wines with good freshness, refined tannin and lifted aromatics.
