Groot Constantia Grand Constance 2019
Deep amber. Orange marmalade, candied apricot, dried fig and honeyed peach on the nose; rich, unctuous palate of glacé orange, raisin and toffee, laced through with a saving streak of fresh acidity that keeps it lifted and drinkable. Layered and long-finishing. The modern heir to the legendary 18th-century Vin de Constance — a piece of wine history every cellar should have.

The Mullineux Straw Wine 2024 is a sweet Chenin Blanc, reflecting a bright golden colour which becomes almost luminous in the light as one swirls the glass, highlighting the exceptionally well-balanced acidity and attractive viscosity. It shows aromas of sun-dried apricots, warm lemon meringue pie, a distinct citrus pithiness and has an intense silky mouthfeel. The wine is best served chilled at 9 to 11 °C.
