Lismore Chardonnay 2022
The Lismore Chardonnay 2022 is a South African cool-climate white wine with intense citrus aromas and flavors of apricot, white peach, and honey, balanced by crisp acidity and a distinct minerality. It is a sophisticated, complex Chardonnay that spent 11 months in 500-litre barrels (with some new) and is known for its long, elegant citrus and toasted hazelnut finish.

On the nose, this wine shows great citrus character with ripe orange and winter melon notes, against lightly toasted brioche. Tangerine fruit and citrus blossom fragrances are apparent, with hints of vanilla pod and a slight salinity. These characteristics follow through onto the palate. The fine, fresh acidity is natural, and adds poise and focus to the wine.

Crystallum The Agnes Chardonnay 2024 — Sea shells, flint and yellow stone fruits show on the nose ahead of a full, mouth-coating palate with elements of golden delicious apple, salted caramel, lime and beeswax. The finish is saline and long, recalling the ocean with a nori-like character to the lingering aftertaste. Generous but expertly balanced.
